If you are a beginner, you would certainly want to know how you can easily achieve a successful AOL mail login. There are many ways to do it while sometimes many users face problems in accessing their email accounts if they have not mastered the steps properly. The AOL email login page is found at http://mail.aol.com or https://my.screenname.aol.com. The addresses sometimes may change but by starting at http://aol.com you can always easily sign in to access your email account. There is an icon to click as shown in the screenshot below that takes you to the login page or to view mails if you are already signed in. Enter your username and password in their respective fields then click the blue “Sign In” button and your email account will load as long as the details are correct. Many people do forget their login details for different reasons especially if they do not often bother to access their email accounts. You may also face difficulties signing into your AOL email account if it has been compromised. In such cases or other difficulties of logging into your email account, click the “Forgot password?” link and will be taken through a number of steps to confirm your identity in order to recover the password. The “Remember Me” option available at the AOL sign in page adds convenience to avoid entering username and password every time you want to access your account. When signed into your AOL email without the use of the “Remember Me” option, by default you will be signed out after 24 hours. There is an option at the AOL email settings to choose being automatically signed out even after 30 minutes which helps in case you forget signing out after using a public computer. In case of a slow internet connection during the loading process after providing the AOL mail login details, you are provided an option to choose a basic version which loads much faster.

- Go to the homepage at http://www.aol.com/ and at the top centre of the page you will find the “Sign up” link which upon clicking should take you to the following page.
- Enter your first name and last name, choose your preferred username and check for its availability before proceeding to create a strong password and then clicking the “Next” button to go to the following page.
- Fill in the few requested personal details and to help protect your AOL email account choose a security question for which you have to provide an answer. Your mobile number is optional but also helps in the protection of your account as text messages can be send to you if needed.
- After clicking the “Next” button you are taken to 2 more screens where you just enter some characters to confirm you are a real person, and then you end up at the AOL homepage. Close to the top left corner of the page you should locate and click the “Mail” icon which should take you to a welcome screen.
